Our Mission Collection is inspired by the stunning beauty and the vibrant colors found in the historic California Missions. Each necklace is named for an individual mission in the California chain. Close your eyes and see the rows of glowing votive candles illuminating red glass; the blue and green murals painted on stucco walls and handwrought crosses from another age. We incorporate blue turquoise, red coral, bright green gaspeite and deep green turquoise in our Mission Collection jewelry. We use only genuine turquoise and other gemstones, as well as sterling silver beads and findings. All pieces are strung on a silver plated cable which is as strong as it is beautiful. Each necklace is handmade in the USA and produced in very limited quantities or as one of a kinds. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of our Mission Collection jewelry is donated to the National Trust of Historic Preservation expressly earmarked for the Mission San Miguel Preservation Fund and The California Missions Foundation. The Mission San Miguel Arcangel is on the list of the National Trust's 11 most endangered places in the United States. This is due to extensive damage suffered during the 2003 San Simeon earthquake. | |||
